Fortec Acquires Three KinderCare Properties in Louisville

Miami-based real estate firm Fortec has led the acquisition of three preschool properties in Louisville, Kentucky.

The transaction involves 31,326 square feet of purpose-built early education space on approximately 4.5 acres. Fortec acquired and owns two of the properties, while a Fortec investment partner owns the third. Financial terms were not disclosed in the announcement.

The transaction was completed in coordination with KinderCare Learning Companies, which took over operations of all three centers. The deal also brings Fortec’s track record to more than $270 million in educational real estate transactions across 39 properties in 15 states.

“This transaction reflects Fortec’s broader mission to provide the real estate foundation that allows exceptional early education operators like KinderCare to focus their resources on operating great schools,” said Pablo Barreiro, chairman of Fortec. “We’re excited to see these centers enter their next chapter under KinderCare’s leadership and the impact its significant investment will have on the children, families and staff who rely on these learning environments every day.”
