Former GWU Swim Coach Joins MacKenzie Commercial

Brian Thomas, formerly the head coach for George Washington University’s Division I men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams, has joined MacKenzie Commercial Real Estate Services as a real estate advisor. Thomas will work in MacKenzie’s new Charlottesville, Virginia, regional office under the direction of Sam Orr, the Executive Vice President who spearheaded the opening of the office this summer.

In his new capacity, Thomas will represent the interests of tenants, developers, landlords, and institutional owners in the sale and leasing of all asset classes, including commercial office, warehouse/industrial and retail with a focus on the central Virginia region.

“I am extremely confident that he will have a long and successful commercial brokerage career because he places a high priority on work ethic and accountability,” said Orr. This hire is the first of many as MacKenzie looks to significantly expand its presence in the Central Virginia commercial real estate marketplace.
