Former Berkeley College Properties in White Plains Will Yield Condos
RM Friedland (RMF) arranged the sale of 99 Church St. and the adjacent 6 Cottage Pl. on behalf of Berkeley College. Originally part of Berkeley College’s downtown White Plains campus, these properties were placed on the market after the college consolidated its operations to New York City and New Jersey in 2021.
Recognized for its central location, versatile structures—a 110,000-square-foot, four‐story office building at 99 Church and a 55-unit, six‐story dormitory at 6 Cottage—and nearly one acre of land, the site was considered an ideal candidate for adaptive reuse and redevelopment. Although initially envisioned as a mixed-use project incorporating both rental and for-sale units, the redevelopment plan was later refined to convert the entire property into for-sale condominiums by the developer, Wilder Balter Partners.
John Barrett, Chris O’Callaghan and Carmen Bauman of RMF exclusively represented the seller, Berkeley College, and identified the buyer.
