Kmart to Be Redeveloped as Health Center

RD Management LLC of New York City will begin an adaptive reuse project, converting a former Kmart in Latham, NY, to a health and wellness center. The 118,863-square-foot property is at 195 Troy Schenectady Rd. (State Routes 2/7) and Swatling Road, which is close to medical campuses.

The center will provide space for businesses offering alternative and holistic healthcare services. Also in the plans is a 22,058-square-foot health and fitness facility.

“Strategically feeding off the region’s demonstrated focus on health and fitness, this concept aims to bring medical service providers to users with a new level of accessibility,” said Richard Birdoff, principal and president of RD Management.
