Shamrock Foods distribution center on way to Marana

Food Distribution Center Coming to Tucson Suburb

Shamrock Foods Company, a 100-year-old, family-owned Phoenix-based company, has acquired 81 acres from Crown West Residential Group at The Crossroads at Gladden in the Tucson suburb of Marana. The planned distribution center will serve southern Arizona markets. While no sales price was disclosed, a nearby 58-acre parcel recently sold for $14.2 million. Another sale earlier this summer, saw 128 acres go to Flint Development for warehouse and distribution logistics buildings for $22 million.

The Crossroads at Gladden has 63 acres of property remaining for a mix of uses, with plans underway for a shopping center with over 50,000 square feet of retail, restaurant, and lodging on the corner of Tangerine Road and Clark Farms Boulevard.

Crown West’s Dean Wingert said, “Shamrock, along with a complimentary mix of commercial and retail uses, will bring amenities and employment opportunities to the Gladden Farms community and northwest Pima County.”

The broker for The Crossroads at Gladden sale to Shamrock Foods was CBRE’s in Tucson.
