Fluor leaves Sugar Land for Energy Corridor

Fluor Leaves Sugar Land, Takes 1,600 Workers

It’s bound to be a major hit to the town. After four decades, the Fluor Corporation will bid farewell to its long held 1 Fluor Daniel Drive location in Sugar Land. The prominent construction company is moving to a 13-story building in Houston’s Energy Corridor and is taking all of its 1,600 employees with them. Efforts by Sugar Land city officials to retain Fluor Corp. were unsuccessful despite collaborative discussions for a new campus near the Smart Financial Centre.

Fluor signed a 12-year lease agreement with Granite Properties for the modern Three Eldridge building  on North Eldridge Parkway. Spanning 308,186 square feet, the building will serve as Fluor’s new Houston-area headquarters.

The Three Eldridge campus features The Yard, an outdoor covered workspace with ample seating options; Wi-Fi; a cafe; and a separate corporate training center.
