Flournoy Building 4th Charlotte Rental Community

Flournoy Development Group has been greenlighted for a multifamily/commercial project at 2200 Electrolux Way in Charlotte. The Charlotte Business Journal reports the project will have two phases. The first phase will include up to 320 multifamily units across seven buildings and 3,000 square feet of commercial space. The second phase will include 240 multifamily units and 20 attached townhomes across six buildings as well as 4,500 square feet of commercial space.

The land in University City is currently owned by the Centene Corporation. Public records show Centene paid $9 million for the land in July 2020. At one time, Centene owned an adjacent 700,000 square foot office building that has since been bought by Vanguard. Vanguard is consolidating its 2,400 local employees into the University Research Park building from several offices scattered around Charlotte.

Flournoy’s new project is the firm’s fourth in Charlotte.
