- Illustrated Properties, with more than 50 years of industry leadership, launched a dedicated Commercial Real Estate Division. The new division is led by Director of Commercial Real Estate Shane McCain, a widely recognized figure in the South Florida commercial real estate community. The division brings a broad range of property types, including office, retail, industrial, multifamily, land, hospitality, and medical.
- Marcus & Millichap brokered the sale of Miami Gardens Center, a 52,000 square foot two-building retail center in Miami-Dade County. The asset sold for $11.1 million. Kirk Olson and Drew Kristol of Marcus & Millichap exclusively marketed the 100% leased property on behalf of the seller, Freshwater Group, and procured the buyer, Golden Horizon Terryville Corp, out of Hallandale Beach, FL. Miami Gardens Center is located at 4880 NW 183rd St. and was built in 2006.
- JLL added Andrew Frey as Managing Director for the South Florida team. Frey is the former Head of Real Estate for the City of Miami. Frey will focus on serving public-sector clients and private-sector clients doing business with the public sector, including government entities, transportation agencies, higher education institutions and healthcare providers, leveraging his extensive industry expertise and established relationships to support JLL’s continued growth across the region’s real estate landscape.
- Ocean Bank provided a $15 million loan for a new miniature golf and restaurant, PopStroke recreation center, under construction on International Drive. The borrower is JCS IDRIVE LLC. The center will feature three 18-hole miniature golf courses, restaurants, an outdoor gaming area, a kids’ playground and a pond on a 5.1-acre site at 8580 International Drive. The PopStroke restaurant will have 330 seats, while the Dune Dog restaurant will have an additional 175 seats. The center replaces the former Pirate’s Cove Adventure Park and will be the third PopStroke facility in the Orlando area and 10th in Florida.
