  • CBRE added Christine Jarro as Property Management (PM) Director for South Florida. In this role, Jarro will be responsible for all aspects of South Florida’s Property Management business, which is comprised of 13 million square feet of office, retail and industrial assets, in addition to leading the existing team of PM professionals across Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach. Jarro joins CBRE from 830 Brickell.
  • PCCP provided a $41.25 million senior loan to The United Group of Companies, Inc. for the refinance of The Sovana at Stuart, a Class A, 182-unit resort-style Active Adult community located at 1900 NW Federal Highway in Stuart, Florida, directly off US 1. It was built in 2022 and developed by the United Group of Companies.
  • BCDC is partnering with 908 Group on Chapter House FSU, a 511-bed, Class A student housing development located in the College Town submarket adjacent to Florida State University. The project marks the fourth joint venture between BCDC and 908 Group. Chapter House FSU will be developed at 601 W. Madison St. and 506 W. Gaines St. in Tallahassee, within walking distance of the FSU campus. The two-building project will include 129 units totaling 511 beds.
  • Mattel unveiled plans to build an indoor water park in Orlando on 11 acres at 15845 State Road 53. The Orlando Business Journal reports the plans include a roughly 90,000-square-foot indoor water park. This outdoor event lawn space is approximately 35,700 square feet, retail space spanning around 11,400 square feet  and 42,000 square feet dedicated as a “slide zone”. 
  • George Nausha has joined PXV Multifamily as Managing Director, Acquisitions. Nausha is relocating from Los Angeles to Miami for the role. Nausha joins PXV after nearly a decade at JRK Property Holdings, where he served as Vice President on the Investments team and helped execute more than 40 multifamily acquisitions totaling approximately $4 billion and 14,000 units.
