Flagship Healthcare Properties Acquires Ohio Surgery Center
Flagship Healthcare Properties, an outpatient healthcare real estate firm, has acquired Central Ohio Surgical Institute, a fully-leased ambulatory surgery center in New Albany, Ohio.
The 14,416-square-foot property, located at 6520 W. Campus Oval, was built in 2003 and is fully leased to Central Ohio Surgical Institute, which is majority-owned by OhioHealth, a not-for-profit healthcare system based in Columbus.
The property is located 2.7 miles from the 60-bed Mount Carmel New Albany specialty hospital and 3.4 miles from the OhioHealth Emergency Care-New Albany freestanding emergency department. The surgery center is in a prime location within the 9,000-acre New Albany International Business Park.
The property was acquired through Flagship’s private real estate investment trust, Flagship Healthcare Trust. Flagship will also provide property management and asset management services for the ASC. Financing was provided by Fifth Third Bank and the sellers were represented by Nick Myers of Zeustra.
