Flagship Healthcare Properties Acquires Fully Leased MOB in Fredericksburg

Charlotte, NC-based Flagship Healthcare Properties, an outpatient healthcare real estate firm, has acquired a Class A, 100% leased, multi-tenant medical office building located at 1071 Care Way in Fredericksburg, VA.

The property was acquired through Flagship’s private real estate investment trust, Flagship Healthcare Trust. Flagship Healthcare Properties will provide property management and asset management services for the MOB.

The seller in the transaction was represented by Jim Kornick and Joe French of Avison Young.

The property was built in 2007 and is located at 1071 Care Way. The building is situated in the area’s expanding medical district and is adjacent to the 450-bed Mary Washington Hospital, which houses the Women’s Health Institute.

The MOB is fully leased to the Rappahannock Women’s Health Center and the Laboratory Corporation of America. The tenants have a long standing, symbiotic relationship with over two decades of referral business and shared clients.

About Lisa McDuffie

Lisa McDuffie arrives at ConnectCRE via REALTOR® world, where she served for nearly two decades as communications director for one of the nation’s largest REALTOR® organizations. She supported two membership-elected presidents who were commercial real estate practitioners, and managed the communications initiatives of the organization’s commercial special interest group. When not following the latest commercial real estate news, Lisa is zeroed in on her charismatic off-the-track thoroughbred as she makes the transition from an utterly failed racehorse to a lovely show hunter.
