Flagship Furniture Store Takes Down Townhome Space

Modani Furniture leased 9,876 square feet at a townhouse in Midtown Manhattan. The modern furniture company will fill all five floors at 942 Third Ave. for its flagship store.

“This will allow Modani to design an expansive showroom and establish a true flagship store,” said Joanne Podell, executive vice chairman for Cushman & Wakefield, which represented building owners Naomi and Andre Altholz of 950 Third, LLC.

The townhouse is set along the “Bloomingdale’s Corridor.” “Modani will amplify the corridor’s already impressive home furnishing roster, which includes Design Within Reach, CB2, Jensen-Lewis Furniture, BoConcept, Ethan Allen and Cassina,” Powell added.
