Five-Story Warehouse Secures Key Approval in Chicago
Connect Industrial is coming to Chicago, June 28th. Here’s where to get more details and register.
Barrington, IL-based LSC Development plans to develop a five-story warehouse in Chicago’s Jefferson Park neighborhood. The project received unanimous approval from the City Council’s critical zoning committee for a site at 5150 N. Northwest Hwy.
The former FSP food distribution facility will be demolished, and replaced by a 68-foot tall masonry building with warehouse space on four floors above first-floor offices.
The warehouse project’s zoning change approval will allow a 100-unit mixed-income multifamily project to move forward on a portion of the 1.54-acre site. The approval appears to end a process that was lengthy and contentious.
The residential project proposed by Full Circle Communities must be reviewed by the zoning committee, as well as the Chicago Plan Commission, prior to commencing construction.
