Fish Market Recovering From Fire

The Fish Market, a popular, and very large, restaurant near Seaport Village has reopened after a severe fire in May.

The 26-year-old restaurant suffered $2 million in damage due to the blaze and water used to put it out. The company also has another location in Solana Beach, as well as four others in the Bay Area. Right now the bottom floor of the restaurant is open again, but the top floor, which is an upscale concept called Top of the Market, is still undergoing repairs and will open in another six to eight weeks.
