Columbus 257-unit apartment to kick off Frisco's North Fields development

First Stage of Large-Scale Mixed-Use Frisco Project Almost Underway

Developers plan to begin construction of the first phase of a 175-acre mixed-use development off US Highway 380 in Frisco early next year. The development, called North Fields, is part of the $10 billion Fields residential and commercial development. The North Fields portion of the project is planned to include high-density office, retail, commercial and residential development.

North Texas-based apartment builder Columbus Realty will go first, planning to break ground on a 257-unit rental community on the project on the south side of US 380 in March. The $73 million multifamily project would open in late 2024.

JHP Architecture designed the four-story condominium being built north of the new PGA of America headquarters. Low and medium-rise buildings will be built around a small lake.

The Fields development — one of the largest new communities in North Texas — is a project of Dallas-based Hunt Realty Investments and Plano-based Karahan Cos.
