First Industrial Proposes Central Florida Development
Chicago-based First Industrial Realty Trust Inc. plans to develop a 330,000-square-foot warehouse project in Osceola County. The REIT bought 35.9 acres of vacant land owned by St. Cloud-based Kelley Properties LLP near 2800 N. John Young Parkway for its first new-build in the Kissimmee market.
The projected cost for the facility is in the neighborhood of $21.5 million. The developer envisions commencing construction in 2021. The site plan includes four, 43-foot-tall dock-high warehouse buildings ranging in size from 71,050 to 105,563 square feet.
The project is under review by Kissimmee’s development review committee. The development team also includes Orlando-based C4 Architecture Watertown, MA-based VHB, and Canton, OH-based Hillman Survey.
