First Development Approved in Redwood City’s New Waterfront District
There is still time to join us at Connect Bay Area. Here is where to get more information and register for the May 17th conference in San Francisco.
San Francisco-based Strada Investment Group received approval to develop a 131-unit multifamily community on a 7.9-acre site at 1548 Maple St. in Redwood City, CA. The project is the first to move forward within the city’s recently-established waterfront district.
The community is planned for 20 three-story buildings, with 88 two-bedroom units and 43 three-bedroom units above two-vehicle garages.
Strada, which is also developing the Golden State Warriors Chase Center in San Francisco, will build and maintain a waterfront park for kayaks and paddle boards. It will also extend the San Francisco Bay Trail walking and biking path along the creek. The entire site and waterfront park and trail will be raised up to five feet to address future sea level rise.
The overall Redwood City waterfront district is envisioned as a higher density mix of housing, parks and paths that connect to the water.
