First American Title Moves to Midtown East
First American Title Company, one of the world’s top providers of real estate title insurance, has signed a lease for the entire 10th floor of a Midtown landmark directly across from Grand Central Terminal.
“Leasing activity in the Grand Central submarket remains extremely active,” said Steven Durels, executive vice president, director of leasing and real property for SL Green, which owns and operates the tower at 110 E. 42nd St.
Built in 1923, it combines ornate, Italian Romanesque architectural details with technology that earned the building a Wired Gold certification. The property won the prize for “Operating Office Building of the Year” from BOMA in 2013. The new, 10-year lease covers 17,984 square feet of the 205,000-square-foot, 18-story building. NGKF represented First American in the transaction.
