Film and TV Equipment Maker Moving to Industry City

VER Technologies, which makes equipment for film and TV production, is moving its New York headquarters from Manhattan’s Far West Side to Industry City in Brooklyn. The company will occupy 25,000 square feet at the six-million-square-foot campus in Sunset Park.

The new space at 147 41st St. is expected to open within a few months, and will be used as an equipment hub for clients in the TV, cinema, live events, broadcast and corporate markets.

New York City’s “booming” film and production industry is “much more than the TV and movie- filming operations you see on streets across the city,” said Industry City’s Kathe Chase. “It’s equipment rental companies like VER; it’s post-production, animation and content studios, and it’s drone operators and set designers. All of those ancillary businesses are coming together at Industry City.”

Hilco Real Estate’s Joel Schneider represented VER in the five-year deal. Industry City’s Sam Gewirtzman represented ownership.
