Fifth Third Pavilion Opening at Navy Pier
Navy Pier’s 200,000-square-foot Fifth Third Bank Family Pavilion will make its debut over Memorial Day weekend, in advance of a grand opening on June 26. The expanded partnership between the century-old lakefront tourist attraction and Fifth Third, which earlier this week said it would merge with locally-based MB Financial, was announced last November.
Designed by Gensler, the pavilion will be a hub of more than 50 Chicago-centric experiences in dining, entertainment and retail. The new pavilion is part of the larger Centennial Vision framework, which calls for the physical, programmatic and organizational transformation of Navy Pier in honor of its second century.
Cincinnati-based Fifth Third increased its investment in the Pier following the successful two-year Fifth Third Bank Centennial Celebration in 2016 and 2017, and the ongoing title partnership of the Fifth Third Bank Winter WonderFest.
