Fidelity Will Move Cryptocurrency Operations to Commonwealth Pier

Fidelity Investments is planning to move its cryptocurrency and digital assets subsidiary to a new Boston address, reported the Boston Business Journal. Fidelity Digital Assets filed last month with the federal Office of the Comptroller of the Currency to move its headquarters to the newly redeveloped space at Commonwealth Pier, at 200 Seaport Blvd. Its current headquarters is 245 Summer St., next to South Station.

Boston-based Fidelity said in September it intends to move its entire headquarters to Commonwealth Pier, designating the 735,000-square-foot office space at the larger 840,000-square-foot development as its new home base. A spokesperson for Fidelity told the Business Journal that the company planned to file regulatory paperwork to make the move, but the spokesperson could not specify a timeline.

The overall development was headed by Pembroke Real Estate LLC, the real estate arm of Fidelity’s larger parent company, FMR, LLC, the Business Journal reported.
