Ferris, Texas Lands First Full-Scale Development
Ferris, a town of 2,700 residents, will be home to a $35 million housing and retail project. It will be the first institutional quality project built in the town. Casitas at Shaw Creek will be the newest mixed-use project by Henry S. Miller, a full-service real estate firm. It will feature 204 residential units in six, three-story buildings and a 5,000 square foot retail building.
The project will offer 1, 2, and 3-bedroom rental units that includes a clubhouse, fitness center, lounge, pool, dog park, BBQ grilling areas, and abundant parking.
Construction of the project is expected to commence in the spring of 2024 and take about two years to complete.
Ferris is about 20 miles south of Dallas off I-45. The town is known for its mineral rich soil. During the 1950s the community was known locally as the “Brick Capital of the Nation”.
