Ferries Service Opens to Harborside in Jersey City, NJ
A new ferry terminal opened Oct. 2 at Harborside, a giant mixed-use development on the waterfront in Jersey City, NJ, by Mack-Cali Realty Corp.
The ferries now link Jersey City to the West 39th Street Ferry Terminal in Midtown Manhattan, an eight-minute crossing, and to the Brookfield Place/Battery Park City Ferry Terminal in Lower Manhattan, a six-minute crossing.
“NY Waterway can offer even more people who live and work in Jersey City the better commuting alternative – the ferry – a faster, more dependable, environmentally cleaner way to get across the Hudson River,” said Arthur E. Imperatore, president and founder of NY Waterway.
