Ferrara Will Relocate from Suburbs to Old Post Office
Ferrara Candy Company, founded in Chicago more than a century ago, is coming back to the city. It will occupy 77,000 square feet at 601W Companies’ redevelopment of Old Chicago Main Post Office, in a relocation from suburban Oakbrook Terrace.
“Chicago not only leads the country in corporate relocations every year for the last five years, but we lead the country in the growth of jobs in the food industry,” said Mayor Rahm Emanuel. McDonalds, ConAgra and ADM all have established headquarters downtown in recent years.
In planning to move downtown, “we sought a workspace that could accommodate our continued growth and help us build a highly-differentiated and meaningful employee experience,” said Todd Siwak, Ferrara’s CEO. “The Old Post Office will be more than just a workspace—it will be a destination, and one that is consistent with the brand, culture and community we are building at Ferrara.”
