Ferrara Candy Readies for Sweet Leasing Deal
Founded in Chicago in 1908, Ferrara Candy appears ready for a return to the city after half a century in the suburbs. The confectioner reportedly is finalizing a letter of intent to occupy 60,000 square feet at the newly-built 625 W. Adams St.
Although he didn’t confirm that his company was on the verge of a deal with developers White Oak Realty Partners and CA Office, Ferrara’s Mike Goldwasser told Crain’s Chicago Business, “Our business continues to grow, and we need a more adaptive and flexible workspace that will meet the demands of our growing team. Relocating to the city of Chicago allows us to build a more open, collaborative and dynamic environment that a modern workforce expects.”
White Oak and CA Office built the 20-story tower on spec, and it has remained vacant since opening in April. The developers recently hired NKF to help lease up the property.
