Feeding Tampa Bay, Ryan Companies USA Break Ground on 210K-SF Facility to Help End Hunger

Feeding Tampa Bay has broken ground on a news headquarters and distribution center, a 210,463-square-foot facility located at 4000 Causeway Boulevard in Tampa, FL that will allow the organization to serve as West Central Florida’s core supplier of food for over one million food insecure families.

The project, led by commercial real estate solutions provider Ryan Companies US, Inc., is slated for completion in 2024 and will be a key tool for Feeding Tampa Bay to further its mission to end hunger in the region by 2025.

“With over one million food insecure families across the region, it’s vital for Feeding Tampa Bay to operate at the highest level,” said Doug Dieck, president, Southeast region at Ryan Companies US, Inc. “This project will allow the organization to produce more meals per day, store fresh food for longer and educate the community on the importance of eating a balanced diet.”

The Feeding Tampa Bay distribution facility will act as its headquarters and primary distribution facility. The project will contain over 41,000 square feet of cold storage warehouse space, an 11,000-square-foot full production kitchen, an office and a mezzanine level. The kitchen will produce up to 6,000 hot and cold meals per day and will serve as a classroom to teach culinary skills.

Lisa McDuffie arrives at ConnectCRE via REALTOR® world, where she served for nearly two decades as communications director for one of the nation’s largest REALTOR® organizations. She supported two membership-elected presidents who were commercial real estate practitioners, and managed the communications initiatives of the organization’s commercial special interest group. When not following the latest commercial real estate news, Lisa is zeroed in on her charismatic off-the-track thoroughbred as she makes the transition from an utterly failed racehorse to a lovely show hunter.
