Fast-Casual Chain Chicken Salad Chick Enters the Metro DC Area

Chicken Salad Chick is opening the first of eight locations in the Northern Virginia suburbs of Metro Washington, D.C. Located at 7505 Leesburg Pike, the Falls Church location will open in August in the Whole Foods Market-anchored Idylwood Plaza. The space formerly housed a Jason’s Deli location, and the new restaurant will feature a patio for outdoor dining.

Chicken Salad Chick, a fast-casual restaurant chain, serves varieties of made-from-scratch chicken salad flavors, along with side salads, soups, sandwiches and desserts. The Atlanta-based chain is opening the first of several locations in Northern Virginia with local franchisee Devon Chamberlin.

Chicken Salad Chick said the Falls Church location is the first of eight planned for Northern Virginia. Founded in Auburn, Alabama, in 2008, the chain has grown to 260 restaurants in 19 states. The chain already has a handful of locations elsewhere in Virginia, including two locations in the Richmond area and restaurants in Hampton, Norfolk, Roanoke and Christiansburg.
