Family-Owned East Village Properties Find New Owners

Avison Young’s New York City office closed the sale of two four-story residential properties in the East Village. 349 E. 13th St. was acquired for $3,500,000, while 405 E. 6th St. was acquired separately for $4,000,000. Both properties were owned by the same family for more than 25 years.

Senior director Brandon Polakoff represented the seller and buyer in both transactions.

“We really benefited by working with a transparent and supportive seller,” Polakoff said. “We capitalized on our expansive market relationships in order to locate both a 1031 buyer from California and an active local buyer for these two properties.”

Both properties are near several downtown spots including Tompkins Square Park, Washington Square Park and Union Square along with several popular restaurants and boutiques. Both buildings are also within close proximity of several mass transit options as well as FDR Drive.
