Fairview Planning $36M Business District Investment
Town officials with Fairview, TX, in Collin County, are preparing to invest millions into developing a business district that will attract companies and restaurants. The location in question, near U.S. 75 north of Stacy Rd., will require a full infrastructure addition at an estimated cost of $36 million. The village council members agreed to a 10-year capital-improvement plan to pave the way for economic development.
The main focus of the plan will be roads; specifically, extending Fairview Parkway. The remaining funds will be dedicated toward installing sewers and water.
Most of the plan’s projects have not yet received funding, though early planning is underway. It could be that the investments will be funded through a bond that could appear before voters as early as November 2017.
