Facility Manager ISS Undertakes Diversity and Inclusion Strategy
Facilities management firm ISS North America recently announced its comprehensive diversity and inclusion (D&I) strategy. Eric Stallworth, head of diversity, equity and inclusion, has undertaken an extensive project to set short- and long-term goals related to organizational policies and culture.
“We believe that inclusion and connection are even more imperative in 2021 as we seek threads to unite us and as we continue to find ways to support each other,” said Stallworth. “Diversity and inclusion is always a journey of understanding, no matter what your level. ISS looks to lead by example. It is our responsibility to understand other perspectives and create an environment in which everyone can thrive.”
The ISS 2021 D&I strategy includes increasing women in management, and boosting leadership development and employee resource groups. To support and maintain a genuinely inclusive work environment for every team member, ISS is accommodating a variety of needs and work environments, and partnering with strategic suppliers with diverse backgrounds.
“The North America D&I program builds on our global goals for diversity and inclusion in their broadest terms,” said Susanne Jorgensen, CEO, ISS North America. “People make places. ISS has always been a people organization, working with a strong belief that great people and their wealth of perspectives and experiences, can and do make all the difference.”
