Facebook Signs 226K SF-Lease at Overton Moore’s Morton Commerce Center in Newark

Gardena, CA-based Overton Moore Properties has reportedly signed a 225,679-square-foot lease with Facebook at the nearly 30-acre Morton Commercial Center in Newark, CA. The deal was confirmed by a Newark City official.

The four-building, 604,796-square-foot industrial campus is slated to be delivered in Q2 and Q3 2019. Buildings range in size from 76,162 to 225,679 square feet. Located at 7380 Morton Ave., Building 4 is the largest. It features 35 dock doors, 30-foot clear heights, an ESFR sprinkler system and 254 parking spaces.

Facebook’s East Bay facility will be a build-to-suit, though the remaining buildings are being delivered in shell condition. The campus, which includes indoor-outdoor workspaces, will be able to support manufacturing, automation, life sciences and R&D uses.

Overton Moore acquired the site from Morton Salt for more than $30 million in 2017. Cushman & Wakefield’s John McManus and Victor DeBoer handle leasing for the landlord.
