Facebook Plans $300M Expansion of Menlo Park Campus
Facebook is gearing up to commence construction on a $303 million expansion of its headquarters in Menlo Park, CA. Building permits filed by the social media network encompass a 464,000-square-foot, four-story building and bridge at 1 Facebook Way.
The proposed new office building is part of a campus expansion envisioned in 2015, which now consists of 962,000 square feet in Building 21 and the planned Building 22. Up to 2,300 people could work in Building 22. Plans also include a 200-room hotel, and a pedestrian and bike bridge connecting to the Bay Trail across the Bayfront Expressway.
Facebook is also planning the Willow Campus at its Menlo Park HQ. That project is slated to include 1.75 million square feet of office space, 1,500 units of housing and 125,000 square feet of retail space.
