Facebook Likes 767K SF at $300M Burlingame Point

Menlo Park, CA-based Facebook is taking 767,000 square feet at Burlingame Point, an under-construction 18.1-acre development in the Bay Area’s Peninsula market scheduled for completion next July. The $300-million project at 300-333 Airport Blvd. is being developed by Kylli, a subsidiary of China-based developer Genzon Property Group.

Facebook’s nearly 50% workforce growth over the past year has led to rapid Bay Area space expansion, which has ballooned to more than seven million square feet. That includes taking more than one million square feet in Fremont in June, taking all 760,000 square feet at the Park Tower at Transbay in San Francisco, as well as deals in Mountain View and Sunnyvale.

Cushman & Wakefield’s Mike Moran and Clarke Funkhouser are negotiating on behalf of Burlingame Point. Facebook’s Oculus group is the likely tenant.
