Facebook ‘Likes’ 750K SF in Fremont
Facebook followed up its massive 755,900-square-foot office lease commitment at Park Tower in San Francisco last month by gobbling up another 754,000 square feet in Fremont, CA. The company claimed space in the Ardenwood District business park on Dumbarton Circle, where it plans to create a campus-like environment.
The new space is spread across 14 buildings at a property owned by Palo Alto-based Peery Arrillaga. The deal brings the social media giant’s Fremont footprint to more than a million square feet.
Recent expansions have involved deals in San Francisco, Sunnyvale, Mountain View and Fremont. Facebook’s growth in Fremont began last year with a two-building deal with the Sobrato Organization. The new space is across the street from that location.
Facebook has about four million square feet across the Bay Area, a figure that will exceed six million square feet once its $1-billion West Campus expansion (pictured) and Willow Campus development are completed.
