Facebook Initiates $267M Phase of Fort Worth Campus
Menlo Park, CA-based Facebook filed plans for a $267-million addition to its data center campus in Fort Worth. The social media giant is completing interior improvements by the end of this year on the first phase of the $1-billion development located in Hillwood’s flagship project, AllianceTexas.
The second phase would include a nearly 220,000-square-foot data hall, 25,406 square feet of office, a conference center, break room, multipurpose room and space for mechanical equipment. The expansion will accommodate 1,656 employees.
At full build-out, the 150-acre North Fort Worth campus on State Highway 170 near Interstate 35W will include five buildings totaling 2.5 million square feet of data center space. The facility will be one of the most advanced data centers in the world, featuring the latest in Open Compute server, storage, and network designs.
