Fabrication Lab Makes Move from Soho to Bushwick
[wp-deadline id=]Fabrication lab Collab has signed a full-building lease of 12,000 square feet at 309 Starr St. in Brooklyn’s Bushwick neighborhood. The tenant is moving from SoHo, its home for the past nine years.
ABS Real Estate Partners’ Ben Waller represented both the property’s ownership, Happier Two Productions LLC, and the tenant in the transaction.
“We are seeing more and more innovative companies like Collab seeking space in Bushwick,” said Waller. “While the occupancy cost is substantially less than Manhattan, these companies are even more attracted to the types of flex spaces and the proximity to their workforce that the neighborhood has to offer.”
Collab designs products, develops solutions and builds experiential marketing installations in-house for its clients. Its studio is equipped with a wide range of digital fabrication equipment, including laser cutters, 3D printers, a wood shop, a stop motion lab, a cut-and-sew studio and a multimedia content creation lab.
