Exxon Mobil Unloads 194 Acres Near San Antonio’s Pearsall Park

World oil and gas leader Exxon Mobil Corp., has sold three parcels, about 194 acres of land in San Antonio to Houston-based real estate investor NewFound Partners. Exxon first acquired the parcels in 2006 and 2011.

The three parcels of land — adjacent to Pearsall Park on the city’s Southwest Side — sit at 7711 Quintana Road and 13976 Quintana Road. Public records assess the two sites as being worth about $2.9 million. The value is low due it some of the lands previous use as agriculture. Besides agriculture, the property has at various times been used for petroleum refining and manufacturing. The land is zoned under I-1 and I-2 designations, which are General Industrial and Heavy Industrial, respectively.

On its website, NewFound Partners says it “invests in traditional and specialized real estate classes in high-growth markets.” In the San Antonio area, the firm has invested in The Westin Riverwalk hotel and land near Toyota Motor Manufacturing Texas.
