Extell Tops Out on Billionaires’ Row Condo Tower

Extell Development Company’s Central Park Tower on West 57th Street’s “Billionaires’ Row” has topped out. At 1,550 feet in height, the condominium project reportedly will be the tallest residential building in the world.

“Central Park Tower is the pinnacle of development in New York and around the world,” said Gary Barnett, Extell founder and chairman. “We would not be able to offer this level of design, quality and service without the contributions from the world’s most talented architects, engineers and designers.”

Extell is co-developing Central Park Tower with SMI USA, the U.S. subsidiary of Shanghai Municipal Investment. Lendlease served as construction manager for Central Park Tower.

First closings are slated for 2020. Pricing for current availability at Central Park Tower starts at $6.9 million.

Ahead of the first closings, Nordstrom will open a seven-story flagship store at the tower’s base. The store is slated for an Oct. 24 opening.
