Exeter Snags San Jose R&D Facility for $36M
Conshohocken, PA-based Exeter Property Group acquired 1710 Automation Parkway in San Jose from Soma Capital Partners and Atlas Real Estate Partners for $36.2 million. The 196,647-square-foot R&D flex building was previously occupied by Western Digital and is currently vacant.
The partial two-story building is a freestanding headquarter facility in the Silicon Valley’s North San Jose submarket. 1710 Automation Parkway recently underwent a substantial market-ready renovation by the sellers to prepare the building for lease up with full-building user identity.
NKF’s Steven Golubchik, Edmund Najera, Darren Hollak and Jack Phipps represented the buyers and sellers in the transaction.
Najera says, “1710 Automation is ideally located within proximity to some of the world’s most prominent technology companies and within a market that has experienced 12% rent growth over the past 24 months for R&D/Flex product.”
