Ex-Berkshire Execs Form Broadview RE Partners

Broadview Real Estate Partners has been formed as a real estate investment management company focused on providing growth capital to small and mid-sized operators and developers. The company’s managing partners, Larry Ellman (pictured) and Jason Grossman, have worked together for the past 14 years, first at Citi Property Investors and later at Berkshire Group. Broadview is headquartered in Midtown.

The Broadview team recently separated from Berkshire Realty Ventures, a wholly- owned subsidiary of Berkshire Group, where they led the management of BRV Partners Fund I, a Berkshire-sponsored vehicle formed in May 2015. That fund is fully committed, and Berkshire has engaged Broadview as a sub-advisor.

“As Berkshire sharpens its focus on the residential housing space, we wish the Broadview team the best in building an opportunistic real estate investment management company,” said Berkshire CEO Chuck Leitner. Broadview will focus on investments in all real estate asset classes within the U.S.
