EW Howell Completes Latest Expansion for Longtime Hospital Client

EW Howell Construction Group has completed the new Stroke & Brain Aneurysm Center and Neurosurgical Intensive Care Unit, and expansion of the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit at Catholic Health Services/Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, NY. It’s the latest in a series of projects that EW Howell’s healthcare division has completed for Good Samaritan since 1982.

“Healthcare is one of Long Island’s rapidly growing industries, and we’re seeing a number of healthcare service providers and larger medical facilities make the necessary improvements to their properties to allow for increased patient capacity, advanced technology and improved areas for patients, faculty, and staff,” said VP Robert Timperio at EW Howell.

The $10.6-million, 21,500-square-foot renovation was completed in phases, while the hospital was fully functional. Over the past 36 years, EW Howell has completed seven renovation and expansion projects for the hospital.
