Evergreen Adds 9 Affordable Projects to Management Roster

Chicago-based Evergreen Real Estate Group has been retained to manage nine affordable housing communities totaling 1,071 units across Illinois, Kansas, Ohio and Wisconsin. The assignments expand Evergreen’s management portfolio to over 8,500 units nationwide.

“Evergreen is committed to creating, preserving and managing quality affordable housing that offers those facing financial hardship a good, safe place to live and call home,” said Evergreen president Steve Rappin.

The assignments include:

• Brookhaven Apartments – 181 units, Gurnee, IL
• Carter Manor Apartments – 270 units, Cleveland, OH
• Johnstown Towers – 91 units, Salina, KS
• Oakdale Plaza Apartments – 38 units, Salina, KS
• Legacy Lofts – 64 units, Milwaukee, WI
• The Martha Washington Apartments – 104 units, Chicago, IL
• Martin Avenue Apartments (pictured) – 122 units, Naperville, IL
• Neosho Plaza Apartments – 33 units, Council Grove, KS
• Neilan Park Apartments – 168 units, Hamilton, OH

Evergreen will oversee site-level operations and, in some communities, improve and upgrade the buildings using low-income housing tax credits and other subsidies.
