Everest Rehab Debuts Facility in Longview

Dallas-based Everest Rehabilitation Hospitals is readying to launch construction on its first inpatient acute facility. Construction on the 36-bed, 38,000-square-foot facility is expected to begin within the next two months on six acres along Longview, TX’s Loop 281. Completion on the $10 million facility would be 10-12 months following groundbreaking.

Everest Rehabilitation of Longview will employ 57 people upon opening, and will eventually increase to 120 employees, according to Everest’s CEO Jay Quintana. A planned expansion would add an additional 36 beds.

Mark Coleman, with Park Village Properties, handled the land sale to the hospital, and is marketing the larger 50-acre tract from which the hospital site was taken. Coleman said the hope is that the new hospital will attract ancillary or other types of businesses to the vacant land.
