Essex Realty’s Brian Mond Completes South Shore Deal

Essex Realty Group’s Brian Mond brokered the sale of a 25-unit apartment building in the South Side’s South Shore neighborhood. The purchase price was approximately $1,150,000.

Built in 1966, 7818 S. South Shore Dr. includes six two-bedroom apartments and 18 one-bedrooms. It’s the latest of several South Shore multifamily properties to trade in recent months.

“The South Shore neighborhood is located less than three miles from the University of Chicago,” according to Essex Realty. “Its proximity to Lake Shore Drive and the South Shore Metra train make this neighborhood accessible, easy to navigate and a very attractive rental area for prospective tenants.”

In connection with a South Shore sale he brokered last December, Marcus & Millichap’s Anthony Hardy commented, “Sale activity has been fueled by buzz around planned projects like the Obama Presidential Center and Tiger Woods-designed golf course—both of which would be located in nearby Jackson Park.”

Connect Texas Multifamily will take place August 15, 2019 in Dallas. For more information, or to register, click here.
