Essex Realty Hires Two New Directors
Essex Realty Group recently hired Dan Shepherd and Yury Ivanou as director. Shepherd will serve as a director working for the team led by president Doug Imber and principal Kate Varde. Ivanou will serve as a director working on the suburban team led by managing director Brian Kochendorfer and director Brian Karmowski.
As directors, they will concentrate primarily on the sales of multifamily and mixed-use assets. Responsibilities include asset valuation, market research and analytics, and business development throughout the Chicagoland area.
Kochendorfer said Shepherd’s and Ivanou’s “diverse backgrounds in the multifamily space will allow them to contribute right away and bring a unique perspective to their clients.”
Before joining Essex, Shepherd worked as an acquisitions specialist and analyst for Barnett Capital, completing numerous apartment transactions. Ivanou previously founded House Confidant, a short-term rental solutions company that advertised private residences for rent to corporate clients and business and leisure travelers.
