Essex Realty Completes Sale of Bucktown Multifamily

Essex Realty Group arranged the sale of 2163 North Bell Avenue, an eight-unit multifamily property located in Chicago’s Bucktown neighborhood. The recently renovated asset sold for $2.56 million.

The transaction was facilitated by Principals Jim Darrow and Jordan Gottlieb, and Director Brian Keegan.
The property is comprised of a six-flat front featuring four one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartments and two two-bedroom, one-and-a-half-bathroom duplex units. At the rear of the property, a coach house includes a two-bedroom two-bathroom apartment and a three-bedroom three-bathroom duplex.

The property offers close proximity to public transportation, major roadways, and a variety of surrounding neighborhood amenities. “This deal presented a great opportunity to place a truly unique Bucktown asset with an owner who understands both the long-term fundamentals of the neighborhood and the scarcity of boutique multifamily properties with this kind of site layout and unit mix,” said Keegan.
