Essex Realty Adds to South Side Team with New Hire

Essex Realty Group has expanded its South Side Chicago team with the addition of a new associate, Erica Trejo.

Since November 2019, Trejo worked as an intern on the team led by director Brian Mond, whose focus on South Side multifamily transactions has resulted in $4.3 million in transaction volume this year. Trejo will support Mond as an associate responsible for asset valuation, market research and marketing for the team.

“In the short time Erica has been with Essex, she has quickly established herself as a quick learner with integrity, perseverance and problem-solving skills,” said Mond. “She became an integral part of the team while working as an intern and we are fortunate to have her join as an associate.”

The hiring occurs as Essex Realty and other investment sales brokerages have seen an uptick in South Side transactions, compared to other submarkets around Chicago in the current environment.
