Essex Divests Seattle-Area MF for $133M
San Mateo, CA-based Essex Property Trust, Inc. sold Ballinger Commons Apartment Homes, a 485-unit multifamily property in Shoreline, WA, a community roughly 10 miles north of downtown Seattle, for $133.35 million. The buyer was reportedly the King County Housing Authority.
The property is located at 2405 N. 202nd Place, offering convenient access to the Seattle metro area. The property features one, two and three-bedroom floorplans with wood floors, balconies, vaulted ceilings, oversized closets and in-unit washers and dryers. Residents can also enjoy community amenities such as a fitness center, a pool, tennis courts and a clubhouse.
Berkadia’s Kenny Dudunakis, Directors Ben Johnson and David Sorensen secured the deal on behalf of the seller.
“Ballinger Commons is an incredible piece of real estate and, with nearly 80 acres, it’s the largest apartment site in the Northwest,” said Dudunakis.
