ESPN Studios and Offices Come to South Street Seaport
ESPN will occupy 19,000 square feet of space at Pier 17 at the new South Street Seaport — a $731 million development on the East River waterfront in Manhattan’s Financial District.
ESPN and and its studio partner NEP Studios begin producing multiple studio television and radio shows from the newly reconstructed Pier 17 building in Spring 2018. City officials changed their lease with the developers of South Street to allow the third and fourth floors of the new Pier 17 development to be used as office and broadcast studio space.
“The expansion of commercial uses at Pier 17 will help revitalize and strengthen Lower Manhattan’s most iconic historic district,” said James Patchett, president and CEO of the City’s Economic Development Corp.
