Escrow Closes on Land for Village of Rienda

Escrow has officially closed on land for the new Village of Rienda, according to Rancho Mission Viejo officials. The Village of Rienda is scheduled to open in spring 2022. The first phase is planned to include 671 homes in seven neighborhoods by four Neighborhood Builders – Lennar, Meritage Homes, PulteGroup and Tri Pointe Homes.

“Meritage Homes is incredibly excited to bring another neighborhood of energy-efficient homes to Rancho Mission Viejo,” said Nick Emsiek, division president at Meritage Homes. “Our Harvest neighborhood will offer two-story townhome duplexes to the expansive Village of Rienda, with features designed to complement the immersive lifestyle offered by Rancho Mission Viejo.”

The Village will be set in a historic ranch featuring thousands of acres of the permanently protected open space of The Nature Reserve at Rancho Mission Viejo. The Village of Rienda at Rancho Mission Viejo will be located less than three miles from downtown San Juan Capistrano and a short drive from San Clemente and Doheny State Beach. Employment and retail centers of Ladera Ranch, Mission Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita, Irvine and other Orange County areas are also nearby.
